“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”
I"m huge on monochromatic. I love the simplicity and delicateness of everything being the same with a pop of color. Each photo represents something I love, something I strive to have in my own home. Not completely the same, but similar with my own touch, taste and flare.
1. I love how the wall and wall detailing are the same blanc white, giving the wall added texture and definition. The added molding makes it stand out from the simpleness of the furniture pieces. Not only did they carry out the simplicity throughout the design, but also the soothing color scheme. With the rich white sofa and muted cream pillows makes this couch an utter dream to not only sit on but admire. The wood coffee table brings in the natural beauty but also simplistic design making it a rather classic and timeless piece. My favorite pice in this room is the muted but yet deep lavender ottoman pieces. Muted to go with the light color palette of the room, to bring in some color but not go too crazy and bold. Overall giving the room a tranquil and romantic feel.
2. Everyone who really knows me knows my favorite color is white and cream (yes, I know... weird lol). White is such a soft romantic color thats not only is beautiful but soothing to the eye. After a long hard day I want to come home and be soothed by a warming color pallet making me feel I was at the spa or somewhere relaxing, not just at home. The deeper the color pallets you have in your home the more anxiety and intensity you feel (it's a real thing, look it up). I'm in love with how everything is white and how the only thing that sounds out is the bouquet of flowers and the cream silk curtain tapestry.
3. Have you noticed a similarity yet within all the pictures? I'm HUGE on wall and cabinetry detail. You can have something so simple and with a slight add on makes it seem more luxurious and timeless. I love how everything in this kitchen is nearly muted to the same color palette with the exception of the stove. If they had gone for the much simpler classic stainless-steel stove it would have still looked great, but the french black and silver makes this kitchen pop, becoming an eye catcher and the focal point of the area. The simple detail of the faucet makes the sink elegant and timeless along with the grey scale marble counter top and back splash, it's refinement at its best.
