Who ever said eating healthy was not delicious, boring, fun and for the birds was incredibly wrong.
I love being healthy and eating as clean as I possibly can. But don't let me fool you, I still have plenty of regular non clean meals, I just try to stay as healthy and clean as possible.
At first it was a first world struggle for me, I mean a massive struggle, you couldn't get me to drink a kale green smoothie without me plugging my noise, now I can't live without it. The more raw, the better. I started this "clean" journey off and one since I was around 17, now I'm 25... if only I actually did it for eight years straight I'd probably be and look like a health nut. But it's never to late to start again right?
One of my favorite healthy food to eat is a smoothie bowl, like the picture on the left and right above. They're incredibly delicious and honestly quite simple to make. All you need is just a little time in the morning to prep and make it and honestly it shouldn't take you anymore than 10 minutes and that's really pushing it.
Being vegan and completely healthy isn't something you embark on today and by tomorrow you're already tired of it. It's a lifestyle.
Like anything else in life, it's a choice you need to make if you want to live a more healthy fulling life instead of eating yourself to death. Literally.
Just because you choose to be vegan doesn't mean you have to completely cut out sweets, some of my favorite deserts are vegan cheesecake you just have to alter your ingredients thats all, use more natural products like coconut oil and coconut cream than actual cream cheese. And honestly, coconut cream is utterly delicious, oh my goodness you have tasted heaven until you've had a vegan raspberry pistachio cheesecake. Yum, My mouth is literally watering thinking about it.
If you want to make a simple, but delicious smoothie bowl this is what you need:
-Fruit (literally any fruit you choose but stick to just one fruit in your smoothie for now)
-Greek yogurt (plain)
-Coconut milk or Almond milk (based on your preference and just a small amount)
-Ice cube (lots of ice cubes.)
Blend all these ingrediants together, don't put too much liquid because you want the smoothie to be a somewhat of a thick constancy. Place in a nice size bowl where you still have room for your toppings.
-Fruit more than one type of your choosing ( I like strawberry, raspberry, blueberries, kiwi, black berries, watermelon, pineapple, mango)
-Shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened, you preference)
-Granola (something plain)
-Nuts of your choosing (pistachio, almonds, walnuts, cashews)
