We all want to attain and expereince different things. Whatever they may be...
What if I told you, I have steps you can take on achieving everything you want? And they're 5 super simple steps? Would you want to know more about it?
I think that's a YES, answer. A no brainer really.
Well, here you go:
Step 1. Know what you want
There you have it y'all, these are the steps I use to get what I want... and trust me, they work because I've used this method repeatedly over the years since high school.
Sometimes we get so bombarded overs things in our past that we forget to live in the NOW.
We have to constantly stop dwelling on the past. It's gone, we can't change it and it won't come back to us... maybe that's not such a bad thing that the past can't come back.
Focusing about our future is great, don't get me wrong, but what's even better is doing things now for YOUR FUTURE.
We have to live in the present moment.
We need to take every moment we get and embrace it. Whether it's good or bad, we have to simply live in it fully.
We create our own destiny and future with what we are doing right now. We only use our past as a guide, a point of reference (I've blogged about this before) not as a destination.
Our past helps us to get to where we want to be, but right NOW, this present moment and time shows us who we are.
Be in the now and the knowing, right now. The more you think of the past, even the future the more you're not concentrating on what is currently in front of you.
I don't know about you, but I'm sometimes pretty stubborn.
I keep thinking that I can do the same thing and create different results from it (like loosing weight).
If you want things to change for you, I mean really change for you, you have to create not only a new frame of mind, but also you have to embody what you want.
Old ways won't create and open new doors, it'll just give you plenty of unnecessary headaches.
If you're trying really hard to get somewhere or meet any goals and you're noticing that it's:
You need to at that point reevaluate what it is that you're doing. Have you really altered your train of thought? Have you changed your frame of mind? You can't get anywhere thinking you don't need to change or fix anything, and you certainly can't get anywhere using your old mentality to open new doors.
I know it can be challenging, if you've thought about something one way for a really long time to now having to change it, but that is what success is all about. You cannot allow yourself to stay stagnant in this ever changing world.
tThere's nothing better than proving someone wrong.
When someone says you're not "good enough" or "you can't do that because..." it's the biggest self esteem booster.
Keep in mind, you don't have to prove yourself to anyone. Because no one is better than you and you don't have to physically show them, but when it's something that you want, that's extremely important to you and your success, you better prove them wrong.
You are capable of doing anything and everything you set your mind to do.
Don't let anyone put you down, especially if it's something you really want. You don't need to bow your head down to anyone.
If there's something you want to do or accomplish and someone has told you "that's impossible" or "you're incapable, there's no way." I tell you to prove them wrong. Show them what you're made of and make them respect you even more.
Putting love into everything you do will not only transpire through your work but make the working progress go more smooth and effortlessly.
I've always been told, and I'm sure you've heard, "do something that makes you so happy its a hobby and not work."
When you get into the frame of mind work is so longer work, that's when everything starts going great for you. Your work gets noticed and you just start to excel. That's how Vincent Van Gogh ultimately became so successful and so powerful through his artwork. He made a name for himself not only by being semi crazy but loving and putting soul into every one if his painting.
Today I challenge you to put a little extra love into your daily routine or work. By doing so you'll see your day won't drag on as much as it usually does.
B I G. HUGE. MASSIVE. News y'all!!
Lifestyles Journeys now has its very own logo!!
When I first started blogging I had no idea what I was doing.
I started in April 2016 with just the idea and intentions of just writing and blogging my little heart out, trying to see if I can touch and reach the heart of at least one person out there.
Now I'm FIVE months deep into blogging and it's truly a lifestyle. My daily routine and habit. If I don't blog, I feel like something is missing from my day.
Five months later, I now have a following.
Five months later, I now have a platform.
Five months later, I now have a logo.
Five months later, I now have a store that sells some of the things I use the most.
Five months later, I finally think I understand what I'm supposed to be doing.
I thank all of you readers, friends and supports for giving me the positive encouragement I need to hear that I'm touching your hearts. Y'all are also touching mine.
If you feel so inclined to do so, please check out my "Store" page!
'They say necessity is the mother of invention... if there is something you need that isn't out there, create it and make it... So that’s what I did.
I'm an extremly visual person and I need things I can see in front of me to keep my brain together and actually GET my stuff DONE .
How does one get their shit done in a way that isn’t overwhelming when looking at their TO-DO list?
So I created what I needed. Something visual. Something that I could actually DO and finish and take on and tackle. Something that made me feel a sense of accomplishment. Something that I could make my list of my “to-dos” for each thing I’m working on that was all in ONE place.
Meet my Hustle Notepads
They come in two sizes, a small 5x7 or a larger 8x10
The HUSTLE Notepads are the solution to the visual person who is tackling multiple projects/jobs/assignments/areas.
Now you can SEE what specifically needs to be done for what.
Eliminate sticky notes everywhere. Eliminate the clutter pieces of paper here, scribbles in your calendar there.
No more clutter.
No more chaos.
If you’re working on multiple things at a given time, THIS is your solution to help you:

We get to where we're going because of the path we took in our past.
Sometimes we judge ourselves based on what happened in our past or our past experiences. I'm here to tell you that train of thought needs to change and stop all together.
We grow as individuals and as a person through our mistakes and our past. Our past is the past for a reason, if it wasn't, it would still be our present.
We can't judge ourselves or others due to the past. Some of the past is uncontrollable and quite frankly inevitable. We can only use the past as a point of reference to our future destination.
We need to learn to not settle, to not be so complacent with ourselves. We get to the point of comfort and we stay there. Staying in your comfort zone brings no challenges. No new insight of the person you are and what you can achieve.
We all have stuff in our past that we resent and that we wish we could take back, even change. What we don't realize is everything we have done up to now has never been in vein, but rather to teach a different things. It is our choice, as humans who have free will, to learn from it or keep bumping our heads.
My challenge to you is this,
Don't be resentful of the past but rather thank it for allowing it to change your future.
"When one door closes, another opens..."
"When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." -Alexander Graham Bell
We often think that when one door closes another will eventually open. But that "eventually" part always gets to us, leaving us mortified and perplexed... questioning life and the purpose of life itself. I know this because I've experienced this first hand, as I'm sure you all have too.
I know I've touched based and mentioned this before, but usually when something ends it's for the better. You were only supposed to experience a smidgen of it. It's like when new movies come out and they get you all excited and anticipating the movie with just a 2 minute video tailer.
I guess thats how life works.
When you think something is going great, and amazing... and you feel like you're the luckiest person in the world and that one thing you've been wanting for so long gets taken away, it's not because of anything you did, it's because that was your 2 minute trailer leading up to the grand "COMING SOON" movie.
My mom always tells me, "everything has its time, and the time always comes."
Wow mom, you are right... I should listen closely more often.
Everything will come. We all find what we're searching for in time. With every minute that passes and every hours that drags on, we're getting closer for our alarm clock to go off and for it to be the right time for us no matter what we're wanting to get from life. Whether it be love, finance, career, higher education, marriage, children. You name it, eventually with time it will come.
We all have to learn to be patient and roll with the punches of doors closing. I've had to learn that when one door closes another one quickly opens. I mean fast.
I'll give you one of my biggest tips on how to get what you want.
Are you ready?
Say what you want out loud what you want, you can even write it down on a piece of paper.
If you wrote it down, burn that piece of paper.
By you burning it, you're letting it go what way it'll come to you on its own with you constantly forcing it.
It's always a crazy week when there's a home game. This week was a little extra crazy, we hosted Alabama in our little Southern town of Oxford.
The weekend started like any other, high vibes and excitements as the weekend was FINALLY here. We were all looking forward to bring Drake "Back To Back" song a reality for the THIRD time... Saban just wouldn't have it. Good for you Nick Saban, I guess.
Here at Ole Miss, we may loose a game we've worked our butts for, but we never loose a party.
Still, any day in Oxford is a great day. This weekend is why I love college football! Our Rebs came up a little short, but this game was one for the books. It had everything, big plays on both sides, good calls, bad calls, tons of reviews, sweat, literal tears, Tim Tebow & SEC Nation, lots of cheering, screaming and boos (booze? More than usual)... but at the end of the day, we're still proud to be Ole Miss Rebels!

It's like that really famous song by James Bay, "let it go" sometimes you have to let everything and everyone go and let things be for awhile to see what and who was worth it in the end.
We as humans hate change. We say we're accepting of it and that we welcome it, but do we really?
I know when things don't go our way we get upset, and we tend to hold it in for a few hours or days (I know I'm guilty of this, I stay butt hurt for a while). We cannot control that, we'er humans. We have to break away from that though. When change occurs there's a reason. I know lately so many things in my life has changed and things continue to change each day. I hold onto things too tight and for too long.
I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. I'm writing about letting things go and see what stays because this is something I have to learn how to do for myself.
I know not everything will remain constant. Variables change... and they're constantly changing and shifting. For a few weeks I was upset about this specific situation. Not about the person but their conscious act. Lies to me are more painful than the truth.
Its like when someone lies to you, they're indirectly telling you that you don't have the mental capability to handle the truth. What kind of horse sh*t is that? I've had to get over that and I have, because honestly, in the end everything turned out to be in my favor.
The point is this,
When things seem like their coming to an end and there's no other turns you can make or no other road ahead just go with it. Embrace it. Let everything go. What stays is what was meant to have stayed. Don't loose sleep or change your mood because of it. Everything that happens even though at that moment seems like the world is ending, it's the words way of telling you something better is coming and that you tried.
What's meant to be will always be and it will always find you in the end.
Can you remember what you were doing or where you were today, 15 years ago?
I think everyone can because 9.01.01 changed the lives of many of us Americans. 15 years ago I was sitting in a classroom,Mrs. Jason's 5th grade class at Van R. Butler Elementary school in Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
It was bright and early, we had just gotten to school and we were about to start when sheer panic took over the U.S. and our little school all the way in the Florida Panhandle. I could feel the sadness and the loss of those I've never met. But I was just a little girl, I had no idea what the true meaning of loss and terrorism was. I felt the pain for those sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles, grandparents who had lost a loved one on those Twin Towers that day. The sadness that the last words they spoke to that morning or a week ago was the last words they'd ever hear. Those individuals went to work that day just like any other day, they'd come home and see their families again, but many never got the chance to go home.
Those towers represented more than just a building. It repressed unity, faith and stability for our nation.
Looking back 15 years later nothing has really changed. We still mourn, we still grieve the lose but only one day out of the year. September 11 will always be remembered. But it will only be remembered on September 11th.
So much has changed in 15 years. We were so close as a nation after the attacks, we loved and supported one another, even strangers we barely knew. Now we can't stand each other.
Society has showed us that we're just a bunch of hypocrites. How can we say the Pledge of Allegiance but it not be true?
We call need to come together more often than on the anniversary of a terrorist attack. We need to come together and truthfully, no pun intended but really make America great again. We deserve it. We deserve to live in the best country in the world. So many people wish they could say they were Americans. Why are we making a mockery out of ourselves and our country that our forefathers fought so hard for?
To all those who lost someone on 9.11.01 my heart is with you all.
We want so many things from life.
We want all of our dreams and wishes to come true. We're open to the idea of them but are we really open to receiving them?
Being open to recive means so much more.
If you are struggling financially and you are praying and trying your hardest to gain financial security back and you're scared or timid of the "what if's" or are you really open to receive God's blessing and be prosperous again?
If you want to find love but are looking in the wrong place or have your reservation about even finding love and feeling love are you truly open to receiving love?
You have to be completely willing and open to receive. If you have any doubts in the back of your mind, those thought are blocking and slowing you from receiving your gifts that the Universe has in store for you.
If you've been praying for something for a long time, and you haven't received it yet, change your tactics.
I (your name) am open to receive all of the abundance the mighty grand Universe has in store for me. I am open to receive them all now because I know they are here now for me.
